andrewjung Yep when it works it works, but since a week ago, it just does not on a consistent basis to say the least.
It was nice to see the new update come out but it broke everything as it was working like a charm before this latest update and this new unifab release which broke so many things unfortunately

I know exactly how you feel. On Unifab it is the classic two steps forward and one step back (or perhaps more realistically one step forward and one step back). Every Unifab update seems to break something that was working perfectly fine before. I also noticed that often when you rollback to an earlier Unifab version, it is somehow changed and does not work as it originally did.

My result: Unifab 3028 Upscaler on 1-hour 1080p 60 FPS video upscaled to 4K H265
RTX4090 7 Hours 10 Minute run at 8.9 FPS average

I am hard pressed to notice any significant videos differences between the results from the Unifab Upscaler, the DVDfFab Nvidia AI Enhancer and the original 1080p video as upscaled to 4K on my LG OLED C2 55″ TV.

Ctrl+Y Señores de UNIFAB revisen bien la 3028, la herramienta UPSCALER todo remasteriza bien y mejora el video hasta ahí muy bien, pero en algunas escenas en el video se desenfoca la imagen es como aplicaran filtro de cine la imagen se desenfoca por 1 segundo y regresa a ser nítida, son varias escenas que sucede esto hace un desenfoque y luego normal revisar el modo ANIME.

I just confirmed that under Unifab 3029, added generated subtitles by the Converter program to a M2TS format video still cannot be read by a Blu-ray player. I continue to rollback to UniFab 3027 as a work-around.

Seems like the app is broken again, as it takes forever to generate an srt since yesterday being stuck at the stage in the pic below (“generating subtitles”). If you are successful it will complete after 4-5 hours in this stage, else will likely failed….

We used to see the cloud queue place and the lines number increasing toward the goal line but since the last version (improved version), this is broken Can you put it back please?

Alex_Videoman There is currently an issue with the LLM response causing task timeouts. We are actively working on resolving it.

FYI my current processing times. For a 2-hour 5-minute video is 55 minutes. For a 43-minute video is 26 minutes.

I just upgraded to Unifab 3029 a few hours ago and ever since I’ve been unable to add more than one video to the conversion queue at a time. As soon as it tries to add the second video the program crashes. One at a time seems to work okay.

tim1885009 yes the bug has been there for sometime, where are the files located, if any external drives: NAS or usb attached it will crash almost every time, the only workaround right now is to move the files on a local drive and then it will work. Unifab has not been able to fix it for the past 6 weeks

Alex_Videoman These were all local files, although prior to yesterday I never had any issues with any location on my home network.
So prior to upgrading yesterday I had been using v3024 (updated August 10) without any major issues. Any chance I would be able to install 3024 again and have it work? I guess it couldn’t hurt to try.

Edit: I reinstalled 3024 and it seems to be working as before. I’m not sure what new functionality I’m giving up.

Alex_Videoman Regarding the crash issue with the external driver or NAS source file, we have reported it to the relevant department and testing will be conducted accordingly.

Nice the progress tabs (lines and %) are back but there is a new issue, when having embedded sub that are a bit out of sync, it used to correct that in the generated srt file, now it does not work anymore, please have a look so that it can be fixed.

tim1885009 this is a very tricky one as indeed sometimes it works sometimes it does not, even with local files, my trick if I have the issue is to move the files from one location to another and then it works after the move, there is an interaction with windows with is broken somewhere…
