vivi as I am going through the subtitles generated by UniFab Subtitle Generator using Subtitle Edit, I am finding that some mistakes in the newly generated subtitles seem to be the AI trying to correct grammar. Here are just a few examples:
dialog: I never heard nothing.
UniFab: I didn’t hear anything.
dialog: It don’t fit.
UniFab: It doesn’t fit.
dialog: Well, that sure simples it up.
UniFab: Well, that sure simplifies things.
dialog: Yes, slicker than a whistle
UniFab: Yes, liquor and a whistle.
dialog: What do I gotta be nervous about?
UniFab: What do I have to be nervous about?
dialog: Well, if it ain’t Bill Henry.
UniFab: Well, if it isn’t Bill Henry.
dialog: He’s out yonder beddin’
UniFab: He’s out there beddin’
dialog: gosh darnedest blowout any trail
UniFab: biggest blowout any trail
These examples show that UniFab recognizes the meaning of the words its listening to and changing the words to a more grammatically correct version. I’m watching shows about the old, wild west. Changing the grammar is NOT appreciated. It seems as though UniFab thinks I am turning a report and that the grammar should be corrected.
I alluded to this problem in an earlier post and looked for examples. All the above examples came from the same 26 minute video. There were quite a few more that I didn’t take note of.
Have a good day,
Mike Schiavone!
