I bought a lifetime license and now I have to pay to use it!
It’s unacceptable to change the rules in such an authoritarian way (justifying it as a technical improvement).
I understand that it may be interesting for new customers (and even then!), but for those who bought the lifetime license…no!!!
This is becoming a scam!
If I don’t get a refund, I will file a complaint!

With the latest update, if you have a lifetime license, a certain number of credits will appear.
Each time you use it, this credit will decrease, and when it runs out, you will have to pay to get more.
The lifetime license is a sham.

Are you sure those credits won’t auto-renew? I don’t believe DVDFab can legally change the terms of the original purchase like that.

Subtitle generation is processed in our cloud (It has always been this way.), which can lead to queuing and processing failures during peak periods when there are many tasks. In response to previous feedback from many users regarding queuing and processing issues, we have added more servers and implemented a limitation on credit-based processing to provide a better user experience for all users.

These credits are currently sufficient for over 100 hours (and 200 hours when you process with a .srt file) of video. These credits can also be used on the website and for all other Fab brand FabCloud service features. If you require more, you can purchase additional credits at a very low price.

If you are still not satisfied with the product, you can require a refund by contacting us (https://unifab.ai/contact.htm), and our customer service staff will contact you as soon as possible!

Now that my friends is customer support. There is no business on the face of this earth that doesn’t need its customers. thank you for restoring trust in your brand. .I still think you guys are moving in the wrong direction with this credit based system. What set you apart from your competition and why i bought your product. was the fact it wasn’t credit based. I shall remain on the fence for any future product purchases as Credit based system’s are gonna soon be frowned down on by a cash strapped smart consumers. Its not worth the hassle when we spent several thousands of dollars to buy beefy computers then have to spend even more money to use your cloud based computer why did i build the one i have then. Why do think so many people are buying NAS’s boxes like Ugreen, Synology, Qnap etc. they can have their own cloud based back ups cheaper and more control. Your moving backwards just like Synology and UGreen is cashing in big time. I don’t know who your (Ugreen) AKA competition is but they are watching

BigB99 I agree that integrating a credit system was a steep move, but I also understand that over time most companies need to adjust their revenue models to keep up with supply, demand, and long-term development. That’s likely why they introduced the credit system in the first place. However, I really appreciate that their customer service team took the community’s concerns seriously and worked toward a resolution that doesn’t permanently impact existing lifetime users. It’s good to see them find a solution that supports us while still managing their transition. They also mentioned that the update removing credit requirements for lifetime users (before Dec 4) will take a few days to roll out, so we should see it reflected soon.

This is nice but would be better if the app was working, after 10 hours, I had to cancel it as it was not going anywhere, when are we going to have a working solution that will not go down or slow down every other week….
