I tried an old 35mm B&W film. The actual scene that I chose looked alright (or good), but the rest of the one hour looked terrible, like the bad ‘DeOldify’ colorized processing of a year or more ago. The UniFab colorized conversion had bad mismatched colors and terrible color flickering.
I used the HIGH QUALITY Output (of course).
So, if it DOES need to be literally done as a ‘scene by scene’ workflow, then the Unifab Input Editor needs to improved to do this, and then it needs USER to ‘mark up’ each scene Start and End (of each scene), and get separate Preview window of each (scene), and the program can then ‘Batch converts’ AND thus joins them all back together into the original OVERALL length.
Only then will this be an actual useable product (if you want my advice!).
Good luck and I sincerely HOPE that you will (be able/willing to) make this a GOOD workable and even a professional (?) product.
As is it will just be a ‘toy’.
By the way I could NOT see (or use) and SLIDER to advance the video and had to only PLAY or STEP FRAME?
EDIT: Please also have an UNCOMPRESSED output option such as Uncompressed AVI or Apple Pro Res HQ, etc.
I am using a RTX 4080 Super and an i9 CPU (of 2021) and the processing of an HD clip of 1 Hours took about 2H 15M.
