Ctrl+Z Nice but what about the 5-6 bugs I have opened and that I do not get any updates on? Do you want me to explain all of these here as well.
Right now, I am sorry to say but the support we receive is completely inadequate, bugs are not being worked on, investigated properly and UniFab becomes worse and worse as time goes by.
It pains me to say that since as you know I am using it a lot

You can try switching to software decoding on the client side to see if the issue still persists. Software decoding processes video decoding through the CPU, which helps us determine whether the problem is related to hardware decoding. Regarding the Dolby Vision issue, UniFab does support SDR to Dolby Vision Profile 5 video conversion, which has been verified through direct playback on LG TVs, ensuring no false advertising. Currently, UniFab does not support Dolby Vision Profile 8, but there are plans to add support for Profile 8.x in future releases; however, this feature is not included in this month’s roadmap.
It should be noted that Plex’s inability to play Profile 5 Dolby Vision videos is a compatibility issue on Plex’s side and is unrelated to UniFab. At present, HDR10 fallback is also not supported.
Regarding the bug with the compressor handling multiple audio tracks, the development team is actively working on a fix expected to be included in the upcoming version releases. We remain committed to continuously improving performance and features, and we appreciate your patience and support.

I can confirm that Studio does not support Dolby Vision at all.
The output file is not DoVi compliant and will not play in DoVi in all major platforms.
Dolby Vision profile 5 does not support an HDR10 fallback as per standard, the same bug is across all applications, DVDfab, unifab and now studio.
I raised the bug 3 months ago and yet nothing has been done here….

Advertising Dolby Vision when not supported by not allowed per law, this is perjury, and we could ask for our money back for false advertising

Alex_Videoman Regarding Dolby issues: UniFab supports SDR to Dolby Vision Profile 5 video conversion, and this has been verified by direct playback on LG TVs, so there is no false advertising. Plex not supporting playback of Profile 5 Dolby Vision videos is not an issue caused by UniFab. HDR10 fallback is not currently supported.

Regarding the multi-audio track issue in Converter and Compressor, the development team is working on it, and a fix will be included in a future version.

For other issues, we still need to gather more user requests. Since you are the only one raising these concerns, they are not considered a high priority. We need to prioritize issues reported by a larger number of users. We hope you understand. Ctrl+Z one thing I did not pick on, when you are saying:“At present, HDR10 fallback is also not supported.”
This is the main issue here, Dolby Vision 5 profile standard states: "No fallback HDR10 layer:
Unlike profiles like 7 and 8, Profile 5 does not include a backward-compatible HDR10 base layer. This means that if a device cannot decode Dolby Vision, it will either display the content as SDR".
This is the Unifab, dvdfab bug in your implementation as you included an HDR10 fallback which then prevents the movie to be played as DoVi since it is then non compliant, the fix is actually very easy for you to implement, jsut remove the fallback and then all players will play the movie in DoVi profile 5.
Below is a disney TV show example which works because it is compliant, and you see no HDR10 fallback because it is the standard.
Once again, I am trying to help you here guys to be standard compliant. You can try to argue as much as you want but the standard is the standard and right now, you are not supporting it.

vivi You need to get up to speed here, Plex does support Profile 5 playback but not when it is not compliant to the DoVi standard, LG has a bug that does allow your buggy implementation to play in DV and this is the only player to do so, as once again you can not claim support of DV when you are not compliant to the standard.
I can only post the issues as they are bugs that are not fixed. Maybe I am the only one since maybe I am the only one really using the advertised features which unfortunately are not there.
I would not post if you were kindly working on fixing them, giving timelines, and providing clear communication. This is what support is supposed to be

Also I did send you a proper DoVi profile 5 movie sometime back, if you try to play it in Plex it will work like a charm, as well as Infuse, emby, etc… I will be happy to send it again so that you can see it for yourself.

I’d also like to remind you that you did not know that it was not working on Plex and the other players before I raised this issue.
Now since that time I worked with Plex, emby support, and as a result they have updated their player to support profile 5 fully, but the movie has to be compliant to the standard as they refused to support your bug.
For information, it took them 10 days to fix their players, this bug has been opened for more than 3 months….
This is actually good news for you, as you can keep this profile, but need to fix the major compliancy bug you have right now, no rush to develop profile 8 really.

So please do not say, you support it since it just does not work.

Finally, each time I provided feedback and discovered BUGs, I believe that it made Unifab better and standard compliant, now if you do not want me to do that I will be happy to get my money back and help someone else.

vivi so happy to report that it works with two EAC5.1 files which is good, however this fix introduced another bug if both files are not EAC5.1 and at least one has more than one audio track.

So let me describe the issue, movie1 has two audio track one Ru ac3 which I do not select as I do not want to upmix it, the second one is FR AC5.1 which I select to be upmixed to 7.1, movie 2 has one dts 5.1 audio track to be upmixed to 7.1.
Very simple case, right?
The first movie gets upmixed well, the second one does not, the output for the second one is a movie without audio track, no more audio !
So this is this a new bug here.

I have uploaded move1 and movie2 under my directory on the ftp server so the team can reproduce and fix it.
Note that this is not an issue with the movies since they are upmixed properly if I put them through the process one by one, instead of the two in the same batch.
