RTX 5060 TI only utilizing 2.6GB VRAM instead of full capacity during AI upscaling
Hardware Configuration:
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 TI (16GB VRAM)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550 F-Wifi 2
UniFab Version: 3.0.2.3
Issue Description:
During AI video upscaling (1080p → 4K), UniFab is only utilizing approximately 2.6GB of VRAM out of the available 16GB on my RTX 5060 TI. This results in very slow processing speeds of only 6-8 FPS.
Current Performance:
VRAM Usage: 2.6GB (should be much higher)
Processing Speed: 6-8 FPS
Expected Performance: 15-30+ FPS with full VRAM utilization
Log Evidence:
From UniFab logs, I can see the memory parameter is set to: AI params(0): memory(1000)
This appears to limit the AI processing to only 1GB (1000MB), which is insufficient for optimal performance.
Settings Attempted:
All GPU acceleration options are enabled in UniFab settings
CUDA/QS/AMD Hardware acceleration is activated
GPU shows as “NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti (Best Performance)”
Request:
Could you please provide instructions on how to increase the VRAM allocation for AI processing? The current 1GB limit severely bottlenecks the performance of modern high-VRAM GPUs.
Additional Information:
The upscaling process works correctly but is significantly slower than expected for this hardware configuration. I suspect there’s a configurable parameter that limits memory usage to 1000MB that could be increased to 6000-8000MB for better performance.
Thank you for your assistance.
