AI Video Upscale stops at 9.95%

I downloaded and installed UniFab 3.0.1.9 for Windows trial version today to try it’s AI upscaling. I add a video and it shows progress to 9.95% and then does nothing more. This has happened with 3 different .mp4 files. Always stops at 9.95%. Also, while it progresses to 9.95%, the speed indicator shows 0/bytes sec even while the blue progress bar moves to the right.
Once it gets stuck at 9.95%. I can click on “cancel” and it asks me to confirm. I confirm and it says “Cancelling the current operation” but then is stuck there showing that message continuously. I can’t even kill it with Windows task manager. I have to reboot Windows 10 to clear the problem. I start UniFab up again with a different MP4 and I get the same results.

My PC has plenty of resources available.

Has anyone encountered this? Is there a way to report it to the developers?

Have you upgraded your graphics card recently?

If the graphics card has been upgraded, there may be a problem where the AI operating environment does not match the graphics card.
This situation should be fine as long as it is completely uninstalled and reinstalled.

vivi Thanks. I just updated the driver to the latest for my NVidia 2060 Super (installed the Studio version). I uninstalled UniFab and reinstalled it. Same result - stops at 9.95% complete. Also, as before, while it is sitting at 9.95%, UniFab shows it is using 100% of the GPU. Windows task manager shows 95 to 100, GPU-Z shows 100%.

I just now looked at the system requirements and it says an RTX 30 series GPU with 8 GB VRAM. I have the RTX2060 Super with 8 GB VRAM. So I wonder if that is the problem - RTX 20 series not supported? But I am surprised it even ran at all if it doesn’t meet minimum requirements.

I got the same issue reported in this post: Bug upscaling on 3.0.1.9. The only difference is that after having reach 9.95%, the Desktop freeze and the screen becomes Dark. To get the screen back I must perform a hard reset.

Thanks but it didn’t fix it. Still stops at 9.95%. It’s odd that regardless of the length of the input clip, it stops at exactly 9.95%

I have the same problem. I recently installed a RTX 5070 ti. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Face Enhancer stops at 9.95%, GPU is 100% and my monitor keeps on flashing and my computer hangs

I recently spent over $400 AUD for Unifab and the other applications, and starting to regret my decision if this software has bugs for something so basic, but the trial version had no bugs

If there’s no solution, I will be seeking a refund

BobbyK_68 Thanks for that information. I was considering upgrading from my RTX 2060 Super to an RTX 5070TI, hoping that would solve it. Guess not.
