UniFab to Convert .tivo files

UniFab is advertised to convert over 1000+ formats. However, I have not been able to find documentation regarding the specific formats supported. I have a Tivo Edge device that records TV shows and movies from my cable provider. I am able to upload files from the Tivo to my computer. The files have a .tivo extension. Can UniFab convert the .tivo file to an MP4 or MKV format? Any insights or experiences with Tivo are welcomed. Thanks!

Hi Alvin, for what I know, the .tivo files are “copy protected” due to DRM restrictions.
A program that could help you if UniFab does not come with a solution, is:

EaseFab (nothing to do with DvdFab). You can try it first and then make a decision wether to buy it or not (lifetime license now is $28).

Other alternatives are:

VideoProc Converter AI (paid software. Lifetime license right now is €45.95). For its price, this program does a lot and is very reliable. My personal experience.
KMTTG (kmttg) A free, open-source tool designed specifically for TiVo. It can decrypt and download .tivo files, converting them to .mpg or .ts, which you can then convert to MP4 using another converter like DvdFab, HandBrake or Free HD Video Converter Factory.
