With the latest release there are new models, but no explanation what these are, which is quite disappointing, therefore the following questions:
There are three different levels of HDR: HDR10, HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision.
It seems that only two are supported right now: HDR10 and DoVi, is that correct?
When do you plan to support HDR10+?
For each of these, there are five DisplayHDR Tiers: Display HDR400, Display HDR500, Display HDR600, Display HD1000 and Display HDR1400. Which one(s) do you support and plan to support? How can we select the one we want?
Finally, Dolby Vision support a lot of different profiles, which one(s) do you support or plan to support? How would we be able to select the one we want. For example, it seems like today you only support DoVi profile 5 which is a big issue since it does not have any HDR fallback therefore if the player does not support it, there is no HDR10 fallback, and the video will fail to play vs other profiles which allow for an HDR10 fallback….
Can you please also describe in detail what are the new models you introduce for both HDR and DoVi: FHD, QHD, 4K UHD? What are they? How are they differ from the Fast model and the old "High quality model?
In addition, there is a major issue with the 4k UHD model which requires 14.5GB VRAM in the GPU, since most GPU uses 10% by default at rest, this restricts this model to very high-end GPU with at least 24GB of vram, this is not acceptable here, you should at least allow users with 16GB vram to be able to run the model as it opens this option to a much broader GPU option.
Please provide us details when you release updates and please describe what you support and do not support clearly
