Hello,

Why is the computer being so underutilized?

Indeed, during the upscaling of a 720p movie to 4K, here are the observations:

CPU usage: only around 25%

System RAM: 45% used (with 15% taken by the system), so only about 30% actually used by the software

NPU: not used at all — even though we’re talking about AI-based upscaling??

GPU load (displayed): 53% and Displayed 64% ?

GPU memory usage: only 3.2 GB out of 16 GB available

Can someone explain the point of investing in a high-performance computer and a “high-performance” software suite if neither is being used to its full potential?

It’s no surprise that the task is taking 3 hours to complete… or worse — in a few minutes it might jump to 15 hours for some mysterious reason.

It’s high time you put in the work and make your software truly efficient.
Because right now, something is clearly wrong.

When multiple graphics cards are installed in the system, UniFAB automatically assigns the most powerful GPU as the primary device for client task execution. Therefore, it is normal that your Intel GPU shows no load. We will investigate and optimize the low utilization issue observed on the 5070 GPU.

Either you didn’t understand the meaning of my question, or you dodged it — something you’re quite fond of doing at DVDFab ;-)
This is not about an Intel GPU, but an NPU. And that’s only part of the question.
I’m asking why ALL components of the system are underutilized?
The Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti GPU is only used at 50%, the CPU at 25%, the RAM at 30%, and the GPU memory at 25%. That’s what’s not normal…
