why are hdr 10 or dolby files converted files so small

i been trying out the new version which i brought and been having a number of issues with sdr-hdr converter crashing and having to use task manager to stop it running it got to about 5 mins left then at 79.9% it stops and wont move

also a few files i have managed to convert has gone from 10gb 1080p then i enlarged to 4k which has given me around 36gb file i then try to convert to hdr or dolby it says file size will be around 29gb and if it fnishes it ends up at 9gb this cant be right ?

ok here is the logs i was trying all day but this last one started on ⅞/2026 at around 10pm song sung blue
i opended dvdfab and selected nvidia | h265| 4k| dts -hd
it ripped to a file size 87gb then unifab took over and converted to dolby leaving a file size of only 10.9gb yet again it predicted a file size 48.66gb

this file i feel is to squased (small) i place it in plex and run on my apple tv which again refuses to play it without consant stopping and starting i have no other trouble with any other files and in fact will play the 87gb quite happily in hdr

i am using ver 13.0.6.5 dvdfab and ver 4.1.9.0 i been unable to use ver 4.2.0.0 as mentioned in earlier post its not displaying correctly any conversion info it works but theres no slides or shows you whats happening

At the same time, the original 87GB HDR file and other files can play normally in the same environment.
