I bought an Arc A380 SPECIFICALLY for its transcoding capabilities, yet the Settings for the GPU do not appear to recognize my card. This is surprising, and extremely disappointing. I have many 720p videos that I’m upscaling to 1080p. I expected to see a distinct performance improvement, and instead, see a distinct decrease, making this software unusable.
The card that I replaced was a GTX 1660 Super, and, when doing research online, was highly recommended for replacement with an ARC card. In reality, the GTX processed my videos 5x to 10x faster.
This technology is not that new. UniFab is quick to provide updates to add features and improve performance. I would think providing support for this hardware would be a priority.
